WorldSkills Cookery Competition: Open Now to Latitude College Students

Are you passionate about the art of cooking? Do you dream of showcasing your cookery skills on a national stage? The WorldSkills Australia Cookery competition could be for you!

WorldSkills Australia is an esteemed organisation dedicated to promoting skills mastery and fostering talent across various trades and professions. From carpentry to hairdressing and beyond, WorldSkills Australia provides a platform for individuals to shine and elevate their vocational skills to new heights.

One such opportunity is approaching which may interest Latitude College students: the Regional Cookery Competition, which is scheduled for the 24th of September 2024.

You’ll first participate in regional competition – held here in Darwin – and test your skills against others in the Territory. If you perform well at the regional competition, you’ll spend the next several months training for the National Championships – an exciting, three-day competition where regional winners from all across the country meet up to compete, network and learn. From there, national medallists may be invited to train for the International Competition. This competition, run in a different city every two years, sees the very best skills talent from all over the world compete over four days.
