ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To gain entry to this course, participants should have successfully completed:

  • Year 12 in Australia or secondary education in the student’s home country, equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification and delivered in English, or
  • Completion of full-time studies in Australia of a Diploma or Advanced or above qualification, or
  • Student’s first language is English, or
  • Student was educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country - United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland), the Republic of Ireland, Canada, the United States of America, and South Africa.
However, International Students whose first language is not English will be tested prior to the commencement of the course. Latitude College requires an IELTS of overall 6.0 (or equivalent), or completion of full-time studies in Australia of a Certificate IV or above qualification or successful completion of the Latitude College English placement test.

EXPECTATIONS

Applicants for the BSB80120 – Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), are expected to:
  • Have access to a personal computer, including basic word processing, spreadsheets, email programs and internet search engines. Have a demonstrated capacity in learning, reading, writing, oracy and numeracy competencies to Level 4 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), as well as digital literacy.
  • Students will be required to undertake some self-directed study in preparation for assessment. This will be based on their individual requirements and is not included in the calculation of ‘Amount of Training or ‘Volume of Learning’
The above requirements could be demonstrated by applicants in a variety of ways, such as:
  • Having completed secondary school to year 12.
  • Successful employment in a position that required the use of computers, such as an office environment.
  • Verified references from an employer indicating that the applicant has demonstrated the above requirements in their workplace.

CREDIT TRANSFER

Candidates may be eligible for credit if they can provide the units of competency where these are evidenced by:

  • AQF certification documentation issued by any other RTO or AQF authorised issuing organisation; or
  • Authenticated VET transcripts issued by the Registrar.

Students are informed of Mutual Recognition prior to and during enrolment. Students most likely will have completed other qualifications from the BSB training Package and may be eligible for credit transfers for multiple units.

Applicants for Mutual Recognition will be provided with information to assist them in determining if they are eligible. Applicants for Mutual Recognition are considered using the Mutual Recognition Procedure. This is included in the Policies and Procedures Manual.

PATHWAYS FROM THE QUALIFICATION

Students who complete this course may wish to continue and pursue this career path and/or enrol in a higher-level qualification after completing this qualification.

PATHWAYS INTO QUALIFICATION

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

  • Completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management or a related Advanced Diploma
  • With substantial work experience (usually 3 - 5 years), significant in a senior leadership or managerial experience in an enterprise development
  • A combination of a Diploma plus 2 years or substantial work experience relevant to the senior leadership
