Big Savings for Latitude Students With School-Aged Children

Latitude College students can now access subsidised education for their children in Northern Territory government schools.

The Northern Territory Government has confirmed that international students enrolled at Latitude College on a subclass 500 student visa are eligible for a 40% discount on public school fees for their dependent children.

This support applies to students across preschool, primary, middle, and senior secondary levels. In 2025, this means the annual tuition fees are:

  • Preschool: $4,248

  • Primary School: $6,993

  • Middle School: $7,977

  • Senior Secondary School: $8,702

These discounted rates are a significant reduction from the full international tuition fees, which range from $11,707 to $14,400 per year depending on the level of schooling.

Latitude College Principal Charlie Quinn welcomed the announcement, saying it would ease financial pressure for many international families. “This helps parents focus on their studies, knowing their children are in school at a fair cost. It’s another great benefit of choosing to study in the Territory,” he said.

Free Schooling for Graduate Visa Holders

Even more support is available for international graduates. Parents in the Northern Territory on a subclass 485 Graduate visa pay no school fees at all for their dependent children.

Under this category, dependents of 485 visa holders are enrolled in NT public schools without any tuition charges. This reflects the NT Government’s commitment to retaining skilled migrants and making the region more attractive for international graduates seeking to settle in Darwin.

The NT Department of Education manages all enrolments through its International Services team. School placement depends on availability and zoning, and students who need additional English support may be placed in Intensive English Units.

Full fee schedules and enrolment information are available via the NT Government’s international education portal, or students can speak directly with the Latitude student support team for assistance.
